After waking up from a weird evening, we head out to find some breakfast.

Upon our return, we find Alustriel who assists in attuning the first part of the Rod of Seven Parts so we can reach the next.

We find ourselves floating out in the Astral Sea.

We notice faint lights out in the distance, heading towards us.

After a few moments, we discover that large strange creatures similar to an anglerfish are the source of the light and heading straight for us.

The creatures use their lures to charm and entice us, but we still manage to take them out handedly.

We take stock of ourselves and head towards a large mass in the distance. A mass of ships and citadel of sorts.

We find and greet a pair of Githyanki at the stern of the broken ship. They are not immediately aggressive and introduce themselves as Lysan and Zastra. They tell us that we have found ourselves at the Lambent Zenith.

Zastra heads down to get their captain and we casually chat with Lysan. He arrives with Ilren. He updates up on their situation and mentions how the Firstmate has been out of sorts lately.

We spend some time interacting with the crew here. Learn about how the ship is broken into 3 pieces across the dead god.

Pash learns from the cook that there is an artifact somewhere behind a locked door at the front of the ship.

Both Ilren and the cook mentioned that the First mate had been acting strangely and locked themselves downstairs.

We head down and investigate… and find ourselves with Figaro the First mate. Pash quickly upsets him and gets us kicked out of the room.

Break Time

Bardon thinks that he may be able to de-curse or restore him which may fix his peculiarities.

He rejects us and we can’t quite seem to gain his trust.

So we decide to check out the bridge. Treeavenger heading down first…

Treeavenger calls for us to head down with him. He introduces us to Cirit, who claims Ilren is the cause of the monsters and upheaval here. She says he is actually a Death Slaad and the first mate’s mind was addled by Ilren.

She claims that she can heal the first mate Figaro if we can stop Ilren. Cirit reveals herself to be some kind of divine quetzalcoatl(?).

If we can stop Ilren then we can return to her and she will fix Cirit.

Bardon and Pash recognize that it is truly a celestial being who is unlikely to lie to us.

We decide to head up and take on Ilren, who is likely a Death Slaad.

After confronting him, he casts a Kill Cloud spell and runs into a kitchen. The cloud causes the cred and Daveras to leave us alone.

My attempt to teleport into the kitchen is dispersed and I find myself downstairs instead. I manage to make my way upstairs, but sit outside the gas cloud.

Ilren turns into a Death Slaad.

We manage to finish off the Death Slaad pretending to be Ilren. After a quick talk with the cook and Daveras, we head down to where Cirit and find her in front of the room Figaro locked himself in.

With a little help, we get her inside to help Figaro. After a little dialogue, Pash manages to dispel the runes in the room to get us to the rod piece.

After some discussion, we head back up to the next section of the broken ship.

As we maneuver our way up we find a whale-shark looking thing.

We quickly finish it off and head onward to the next section of the shattered ship. A Treant of sorts has fused past a life boat and into the Lambent Zenith.

It warns us of ‘hungry parasites’ below. Though it seems to not be entirely truthful, Treeavenger gains its trust.

It seems it is a friend of Daveras and another ally is being threatened below.

We quickly head down to save the day.

The tentacled creatures are quickly taken out.

The blink dog can speak and is named Ikasa It is friends with Redbud the Treant upstairs, and Daveras across the way. At the mention of Daveras it mentions a secret:

Ikasa and his best friend were stranded after a pirate attack. He knows about an additional survivor of the attack.

We examine the nearby area, find ~100 gold, disable a rune, and kind some other minor goodies.

Treeavenger hands me a lockbox to pick, and seeing nothing out of the ordinary, pick it. Only to find it was trapped and get knocked out myself. Bardon managed to bring me out of it quickly.

We discover the password to the runes: “The moon sings a song for the lost.” Though, no longer useful to us.

We head back up and Redbud and Ikasa are waiting for us. We speak with them for a moment before heading to the next broken section of the ship.

We head across and open the first door we find…

We find a person who believes us to be a foe…

With some conversation, we assuage her fears and discover she is Captain Inda Malayuri. We let her know about the various people we have saved, including Figaro, who she recognizes.

Bardon assists her in reattaching his missing wing.

She offers us the password, though we’ve already discovered it for ourselves. Believing us to be friends, she heads back to her crew.

We check the rest of the area. Treeavenger enamored by a shattered silvered chair.

…And then head deeper into the ship and the dying god.

We head deeper inside the dead or dying god… To find a truly bizarre creature…

We struggle. Bardon being swallowed by the creature for a moment. But ultimately prevail.

Bardon noticed that one of the parts of Rod of Seven Parts is lodged inside the creature.

Treeavenger rips apart the creature for the second part of the rod.

Pash and Treeavenger get into it but use the Alchemy Jug that Pash purchased to collect a full vessel of god’s blood.

We head back and convince some of the crew to come with us to Sigil and head back…

The new friends trot on through, much to the confusion of Alustriel and let her know we found the next part of the Rod of Seven Parts
