We awake in the dreamscape of Treeavenger, thanks to Vecna’s infulence.

Treeavenger helps me out of the roots entangling me. I fire my new Thunderbuss at it, as it is too hard to reach inside the central pit.

Treeavenger manages to finish it off and feels compelled to climb the branches. Bardon and I follow after.

We continue climbing for a time…

Treeavenger seems to lose himself and tries to push me off the tree, but I manage to stop him. He quickly regains himself, seemingly losing himself to Vecna’s infulence.

”Elves always land on their feet” - Treeavenger

Vecna speaks into my mind - Treeavenger will kill me first when he loses himself. Well, no shit I guess.

We check the Roc eggs ahead of us, but they seem rotten and forgotten.

We head forward and are accosted by more corrupted tree creatures.

I quickly strike the creature with all my strength, nearly taking it out. Bardon finishes it off.

We handedly finish them off.

Vecna shows up again and does his whole thing.

We head inside. and find ourselves against a Dire Worg and Dryad

I approach and strike the worg before teleporting up to the Dryad.

The Dire Worg attacks the others and teleports after me despite the constraints of the ledge.

Treeavenger teleports after it and knocks it off the ledge.

The Dryad attempts to attack me but fails, while running further up.

And further at the top Vecna appears and strikes us with a torrent of souls, taking down Treeavenger.

And then vanishes.

Bardon brings back Treeavenger while I chase after the Dryad who poisoned me. And Bardon struggles with the worg at the bottom of the stairs.

I finish off the Dryad with a solid strike. The worg patrols the bottom but no longer pursues us.

Bardon heals Treeavenger for a lot before we head upwards.

We continue climbing up these platforms for quite some time…

And reach the summit of the corrupted world tree.

He opens a massive portal behind himself.

And offers Treeavenger a deal.

He refuses.

A massive corrupted “Treeslayer” appears.

More spectres appear and we strike them down.

We struggle with “Treeslayer” as he teleports about, but manage to take him and the spectres out.

When he falls, a large black sword is left behind.

Treeavenger refuses it.

We go through the portal and awake in the real world

Break Time

We head down for breakfast and then head off for the next piece of the rod.

We head to Krynn.

Finding ourselves in a strange place with 3 moons.

We see a sickly tree off in the distance from the orange one we climbed out of.

Sickly gray fruit litter the ground as we head inside…

We head inside where the rod piece is pointing towards the boulder ahead of us. And are attacked by a pair of spiders from above.

Handled easily, as they come down. Treeavenger teleports to the top the ridge, and I follow behind. We find a Tree Ent at the top.

The Ent gives up in face of our onslaught. It calls itself Rosintar. It tells us about Gazaia and their Grotto below, a Dryad within the hold that we should not kill.

And a blue cloaked Kinder who it saw entering earlier.

We head back down, with Rosintar offering to help Bardon and me down.

Treeavenger fails to move the boulder, so I make my own attempt. Slightly better, but still too heavy. Together we manage to move it however. And with Bardon’s rope, rappel down. Finding the blue cloaked Kinder at the bottom.

I calm down the Kinder, Riffel, who is looking for a Peylon fruit. We are apparently in a Peylon tree, though all the fruit here seem to be dead. He is part of the Blue Fire Wardens seeking to stand against Death Knight Lord Soth.

He is looking for the Peylon fruit to save his group from a Borthak.

He will assist us if we help him find the fruit.

And then a Dryad sulks down the wall.

It seems to be Gazaia.

She offers to give us the last Peylon fruit for a single magic item.

We chat with her a bit a learn

Gazaia's Secret

The deadbark dryad bitterly recounts the tale of Lord Soth’s soldiers assaulting the tree. If a character tries to comfort Gazaia, she confesses that she hid while the soldiers were around the tree. Gazaia feels extremely guilty that she didn’t defend her charge.

Bardon gave her his Helm of Telepathy in exchange for the fruit.

We learn that the Rod of Seven Parts (Fifth Piece) is in the Three Moons Vault after being taken by Death Knight Lord Soth.

We didn’t harm Gazaia as Rosintar requested and chat with him for a moment before heading out to help Riffel and his group.

Riffel mentions that Teremini Nightsedge is an archmage who serves Death Knight Lord Soth.

We head to where his group is an come face to face with the Borthak.
